Policies

RATES: All rates are quoted per property, per night based on the minimum occupancy as indicated. Minimum 2 night stay, 1 night stay allowed within 7 days of arrival. Holiday Season a 4 night minimum. Separate cleaning charges per property. All prices are quoted in Canadian funds and are subject to change. Taxes not included (12% HST Tax and 2% AHRT).

BOOKING POLICIES: Bookings are confirmed on a first-served basis. Early reservations are recommended. Call or visit our website. Bookings will only be confirmed if payments are received in accordance with the Payments section. Renters under the age of 25 must be accompanied by an adult of 25 years or older or a parent, who must occupy the property for the duration of a stay. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment of rent and deposit, and the party will not be permitted to check-in, or the party will be required to leave the rented property.

PAYMENTS:

• Bookings made between 45 days and date of arrival, full payment is due immediately.
• Bookings made more than 45 days from date of arrival, a deposit of 50% of the total accommodation including taxes is due. With the balance due 45 days prior to arrival.

Peak Accommodations reserves the right to cancel a booking where any payment is not received within 5 days of its due date.

Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, Visa, MasterCard or Cheque

Credit Cards: When using a credit card to confirm or pay for a booking, the guest and/or the cardholder give their consent to Peak Accommodations for the cards use.

CHANGES TO BOOKINGS: A guest wishing to make any change to their booking must notify Peak Accommodations outside of 45 days from arrival. An administration charge of $25 per booking plus GST will apply. Any changes made within 45 days of the arrival date makes the booking subject to full applicable cancellation charges.

SPECIAL REQUESTS: Special requests, for example, property locations, bed configurations, sofa beds, etc., cannot be guaranteed by Peak Accommodations. While Peak Accommodations will attempt to accommodate such special requests, Peak Accommodations cannot be held responsible if such special requests cannot be fulfilled.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: An imprint of your credit card and a signed rental agreement form will be taken upon arrival as a security deposit which the guest agrees may be used by Peak Accommodations to recover costs incurred as a result of the guest's stay, including: Excessive cleaning charges, property damage, etc.. Please remember you are renting someone's home, please put furniture and electronics back to the same condition you found it in, otherwise charges may be applied to security deposit.

All properties are non-smoking: Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a $300 CAD deep cleaning charge to pay for smoke cleaning.

CANCELLATIONS: If you intend to cancel, notify Peak Accommodations immediately. Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the date Peak Accommodations receives notice of cancellation.

- 45 days or more prior to arrival date - Deposit less one night stay per property
- 44 days or less prior to arrival date - 100% of total is non-refundable unless we can re-book your complete stay, in this case you will receive a refund less a $100.00 administration fee.**

*The cancellation charge is a liquidated damage to compensate Peak Accommodations for prepayments and administrative costs involved in the processing of a cancellation and is a genuine estimate thereof and is not a penalty.
**Total price is all money due and/or paid to Peak Accommodations.

NO SNOW: If Mount Washington Resort is not open for skiing Peak Accommodations will refund all but one night stay. Reservations that include New Year's Eve are 100% non-refundable.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Properties are non smoking and no pets. All properties are to be maintained by the guest during their stay. All properties have full housekeeping, linen and towels. For properties with access to pool, hot tub or sauna it is recommended to bring along extra towels. Personal toiletries, such as shampoo, soap, etc are not supplied.

PARKING: Parking is very limited on Mount Washington. Please pay special attention to your specific property as to the number of vehicles allowed to park. Please car pool. Parking is in designated areas only. No parking in the neighbouring chalet or condos. Please do not park on the road as this impedes the snow removal process. Vehicles will be towed away to Courtenay at the owners' expense.

HOT TUBS: are not swimming pools. No jumping into tubs. Please supervise children. Please shower before and after use of hot tubs. No food or drink and no open wounds or cuts, this may result in the changing of the water. If this is necessary there will be a $100 deduction from your security deposit.
Hot tubs are used at Renters' own risk.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE INFORMATION Arrival and Departure dates are firmly set and not alterable or cancelable for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to Acts of God such as, flight cancellations, bad weather, snow conditions or road closures, etc.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND SERVICES: Peak Accommodations cannot be held responsible if some of the features or facilities described cease to be available or are not working. Property owners may curtail or alter some facilities without notice, usually for the purposes of ongoing maintenance and improvement. Use of recreational equipment and facilities which may be included, are subject to availability. Specific requirements with regard to room and other special requests cannot be guaranteed, and in most cases, cannot be confirmed prior to arrival. Peak Accommodations reserves the right to restrict the number of people it will accept at a particular property.

COMPLIANCE: The guest agrees to comply with any reasonable instructions issued by Peak Accommodations. The guest waives any claim against Peak Accommodations for loss, damages, or injury for any reason or by any result of the rendering of any of the services offered.
